Members of the Knox Central Academic Team placed fourth overall in the 2013 Regional Governor’s Cup competition held at Leslie County High School on Saturday, February 16.
Members of the Future Problem Solving (FPS) team placed first and members of the Quick Recall team placed third in their events. FPS team members include Paige Cobb, Tyler Smith, Sadie Harris, Sarah Miles, and Mollie Pope. Quick Recall team members are Austin Sprinkles, Logan Disney, Niven Achenjang, T.J. Melton, Tyler Smith, Zach Mitchell, Peyton Barnhill, Sarah Miles, Austin Hodge, Sadie Harris, Clay Sprinkles, Chris Saylor, Amanda Wahlstedt, Megan Patterson, Isaac Brooks, Lee Frazier, and Laura Jackson.
Competiting and placing in individual events were Austin Sprinkles, 3rd, in Social Studies and T.J. Melton, 4th, in Social Studies.

The Future Problem Solving team and Sprinkles and Melton now advance to State Governor’s Cup competition to be held in Louisville March 16-18. They are coached by Lisa Harris.
