The students were also proud and smiling as Central Elementary was recognized for achieving the number one spot, the best elementary school in the state on last year’s accountability.  (View more photos in our gallery…)

Knox County Board’s chairman, Dr. Thomas Ashburn, invited well-known Knox County pastor Jimmy Siler to share a moment of silence followed by prayer over those on the board and in attendance at their October meeting. Board member Kevin Hinkle is shown presenting Rev. Siler with a small token of appreciation for his service and leadership.
