The Knox County Board of Education conducted their first monthly meeting of the new year on January 26, 2016 at Knox Central High School.
Among items on the agenda during the meeting were the annual election of a chairman and vice chairman of the Board and setting the dates of future meetings. Dexter Smith will continue to serve as chair and Merrill Smith as vice chair following the Board vote. Also, future meetings will continue to be held on the fourth Tuesday of the month with the exception of June, November and December 2016.
