High School FCCLA chapters win top honors at the regional “Ultimate Leadership Experience”

It’s not the “home ec” that parents and community members remember.  Today, Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national career and technical student organization (CTSO) for students in Family and Consumer Sciences.

Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader, members develop skills for life through character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.  With more than 30 opportunities in action-taking events and additional skill demonstration events, the competition is real-world and real-learning.

Lynn Camp High School and Knox Central High School competed in the regional FCCLA competition on January 26, 2023. All top place winners now advance to the state FCCLA competition in March.  The FCCLA organization has dubbed their conference and competition as “The Ultimate Leadership Experience”.
