Knox County’s Family Resource and Youth Service Centers are asking you to step up and donate non-perishable needs for students and their families in areas impacted by 2024’s hurricanes.
Board Member Ms. Powers, along with our FRYSC, are spearheading the drive that goes through October 31. The items may be dropped off at any school between now and then. An Amazon Wish List has also been established amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/28DDXS8188VL2.
Some of the items identified are: cases of water sports drinks, non-perishable food only (jiffy to go, pop tarts, protein bars, ramen noodles, boxed juices etc.), baby food & formula, toilet tissue, baby wipes, toothpaste & toothbrushes, feminine hygiene products, diapers (including adult diapers), cleaning supplies (all kinds), rags and gloves (work & cleaning only), face mask, ziplock bags, mops, brooms, dust pans, buckets, metal rakes and flat-head shovels, bleach or any mold killing cleaner, garbage bags (large and small), flashlights and batteries, tarps (all sizes) and bungee cords, blankets, muck boots, safety glasses, bug spray, charcoal, solar lights, new toys, new socks and underwear, pet food (cats, dogs, horses etc.).
