Science Olympiad students win top honors at State

Science gurus from Knox County have completed the 2014 season of Science Olympiad competition with top winners at the State event.

Throughout the school year, students interested in science and STEM related fields of study prepare for the annual Science Olympiad competition.  Teams from each school, consisting of up t0 15 students, participate in events in their field of study.  By combining events from many disciplines, the Olympiad encourages a wide cross-section of students to get involved in active, hands-on, group participation.

The following teams from Knox Central won honors at the State competition held at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green on April 12th after previously placing at the Regional event in March:
