Students from Knox County Middle and Knox Central High School competed in the annual State Governor’s Cup held March 12-14 in Lexington, KY.
T.J. Melton, a student at KCMS, placed 8th in the Social Studies assessment.
The Knox County Middle Quick Recall Team placed in the top 16. Team members include T.J. Melton, Trevor Sizemore, Ethan Gregory, Chris Gibson, Chelsea Gray, Bobby Keith, Corey Carnes, Tristan Hinkle, Niven Achenjang, Isaac Brooks, Peyton Barnhill, and Clay Sprinkles.
The Knox County Middle Future Problem Solving team also competed at state. Members include Ana Owens, Sarah Miles, Chase Hubbard, and Kim Brown.
KCMS’s Enrica Jackson competed in Composition.
Two students from Knox Central competed in the high school division. Austin Sprinkles competed in Social Studies and Amanda Stark competed in Composition.
