Lynn Camp’s DECA wins big at regional competition

Lynn Camp’s chapter of DECA, a student organization for marketing students, brought home a record number of awards at the annual spring conference held on February 7.

Individual event winners from Lynn Camp include:
First Place Winners
Thomas Ballard, Restaurant and Food Service  Management; Samantha Bright, KY Sports Marketing; Bethany Decker, Food Marketing; Derrick Girdner, KY Free Enterprise Basics; Tyler Hubbard, KY Retailing Concepts; Jessica Hughes, Apparel and Accessories Marketing; Cody Lawson, Marketing Management; Shauntay Linville, KY Marketing Fundamentals; and Andrew Martin, Quick Service Restaurant Management.
Second Place Winners

Lynn Camp’s chapter of DECA also won two chapter-level awards:  largest regional chapter increase and largest regional chapter membership.

The DECA adviser at Lynn Camp is Selina Deaton.   All of the student winners will be eligible to participate in the state competition in March.  Lynn Camp was one of the most successful DECA chapters in the regional competition.
