Students from Knox County Middle and Lynn Camp Middle are now advancing to state Governor’s Cup after placing in the regional competition held on Saturday, February 5 at South Laurel Middle School.
Dillon Robinson, a student at Lynn Camp, placed first in mathematics.
T.J. Melton, a student at Knox County Middle, placed first in social studies.
The Knox County Middle School Quick Recall Team placed first.
The Knox County Middle Future Problem Solving Team placed second.
Hunter Shumate, a student at Lynn Camp, placed fifth in science.
Enrica Jackson, a student at Knox County Middle, placed fifth in composition.
Overall, Knox County Middle School placed third during regional competition.
The Governor’s Cup State Finals will be held March 12-14 in Lexington.
