KCHS cheerleaders are top 10 in the state

The Knox Central High School cheerleaders placed 10th in the state at the KAPOS cheerleading competition held at Western Kentucky University on Saturday, February 19th.

“This is a great accomplishment for Knox Central and the cheerleading program”, said Lisa Napier, cheerleading coach.   “In their division were some of most well known teams in the nation such as Paul Laurence Dunbar, Henry Clay High School, and Daviess County.”

In addition to the latest achievement, the Knox Central cheerleaders have won several awards this year.  The cheerleaders placed 1st at the Jamfest Winter Jam in Lexington and won the regional KAPOS cheer competition in January.

“Knox Central would like to thank all of the supporters who traveled the distance and cheered them on”, said Napier.  “Good job girls!”
