Future Business Leaders qualify for State competition

Fifteen students at Knox Central High School will represent their school at the Kentucky Future Business Leaders of America conference after competiting at regional competition.

Students competed against business students from across eastern Kentucky for the chance to advance during Region 6 competition held at Eastern Kentucky University on Wednesday, March 14.

Winners from Knox Central are:
1st Place, Lee Frazier – Introduction to Technology Concepts
1st Place, Lauren Rose – Ms. Future Business Leader
1st Place, Austin Doolin – Technology Concepts
1st Place, Rashelle Hubbard – Business Procedures
3rd Place, Zachary Mitchell – Help Desk
3rd Place, Beth Mills – Cyber Security
3rd Place, Kimber Gray – Public Speaking II
3rd Place, Dustin Lawson – Impromptu Speaking
3rd Place, Paige Cobb – Talent Show, Most Entertaining
3rd Place, Hunter Owens – Sports Management
3rd Place, Jake Pope – Mr. Future Business Leader

First through third place winners in on-site exams and business performances and first place winners in talent competitions advance to state competition.

Also qualifying to compete at state competition were students in home test competitions including:

State competition is scheduled for April 23-25 in Louisville, Kentucky.    FBLA advisors at Knox Central are Virgena Rhodes and Frank Shelton.
