Children young and old celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday during a night of reading and activities at the Knox County Public Library on Thursday evening, March 1.
Nearly 75 students participated in age-level group activities including coloring sheets, crafts projects, and word searches that were related to the Dr. Seuss book their group was read.
Every child in attendance was served refreshments and received a free book presented to them by the Cat in the Hat.
The event was sponsored by the GFWC/KFWC Barbourville Junior Woman’s Study Club, Knox County Schools’ Family Resource Centers and the Knox County Public Library.
