Storybook characters came to life at Flat Lick Elementary as students participated in the first annual Book Character Pumpkin Contest.
Cinderella, The Cat in the Hat, and even SpongeBob could be spotted in the pumpkin patch that was on display in the school’s library media center.
“Everyone was so creative and did such a great job,” said librarian Kendra Doolin. “We are very proud of each student that participated.”
The contest was open to all students in grades preschool through 6th grade.
