Silas House, an award winning local author who has been on the New York Times Best-Seller list, recently excited the Lynn Camp Freshman Honors English class with a visit.

The students, who had read his book earlier in the year, asked questions and listened intently during this special interview.

During his stay House provided insights about some of the characters featured in his first novel, Clay’s Quilt.  He told the class that “Clay was happy” and he didn’t intend to write a sequel.

Many of the students asked about his becoming a writer and the influence of living in Southeast Kentucky.

House said that the students were a “sweet class” who asked quite a few good questions.
