School cancelled on Tuesday, November 24

Dear Parents and Guardians of the Knox County Public Schools,

The Knox County Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, November 24, 2015.

As you are aware, threats have occurred at Knox Central High School on Friday, November 20 and Monday, November 23.

With the level of comfort and the distractions that have already occurred, school leaders feel that it is in the best interest of student learning to cancel classes on Tuesday.

We urge you to talk with your children now and impress upon them the seriousness of threats in today’s society.  We will not tolerate threats of any nature, especially when they disrupt the school day and learning.

The safety of our students and staff is our number one priority, and we will continue to be vigilant.

We appreciate your continued support of a safe learning environment for all students.

Sincerely,

Kelly Sprinkles
Superintendent
