Do you have a good idea that would improve school culture? An idea for a change that will impact student success for all students? Do you want to know more about how policies and procedures are made and provide input?
The superintendent’s student advisory council is a group of students in grades 6, 8, 10 and 12 who discuss a variety of topics impacting students, their education, and the future.
Members meet once every two months throughout the school year with Superintendent Kelly Sprinkles and are the student voice of their peers, school and community.
Past topics discussed by the student advisory council include school foodservice and nutrition requirements, dues and fees for activities, intervention and enrichment, state testing, and more.
Applications are available on the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council web page. The application window opens September 3 and will end on September 13. Students will be notified of their acceptance the week of September 23.
