Knox County’s youngest academic stars were in the spotlight at the 2017 Regional Elementary Governor’s Cup competition held Saturday, March 4, at Corbin Intermediate School.
Flat Lick Elementary placed fifth (5th) overall in the regional competition. Aaron Powers placed second (2nd) in Science and fourth (4th) in Social Studies events. Steve Partin placed fourth (4th) in composition.
RJ Osborne, a student from Jesse D. Lay Elementary, placed fourth (4th) in Arts and Humanities.
Sunni Ann Partin, a student from Central Elementary, placed fifth (5th) in composition at the competition.
Kymmy Eversol, a student from GR Hampton, placed fifth (5th) in science.
