Hands-on visual arts workshop held

Gifted and Talented students in the Knox County Public Schools gained greater visual appreciation for the arts on Monday, April 17.

“This workshop was an opportunity for students gifted in visual art to expand knowledge, interact and mingle with other gifted high school students, and learn career pathways in the field,” explained Jennifer Carey, coordinator for gifted and talented education.

The workshop was conducted by two art instructors from Eastern Kentucky University.  Students from the tri-county area were invited to participate.
