Knox County’s middle school students kicked off the 2019 Kentucky Governor’s Cup season at host school Barbourville Independent on Saturday, January 19.
Governor’s Cup consists of eight events at district, region and state levels for middle and high school and district level only for elementary students. The events include:
- Five Written Assessment Examinations–in Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts and Arts/Humanities
- Composition–On-Demand Writing
- Quick Recall
- Future Problem Solving–an award-winning creative thinking competition
Knox County Middle School teams and students placed in the following events:
