Lynn Camp DECA advances to International competition

Three students from Lynn Camp Schools recently shined in the spotlight and earned their way to International competition during the State Leadership Conference held in Louisville.

Shelby Green and Rhea Carter placed first in Marketing Management Team Decision Making event.  The Management Team Decision Making Events provide an opportunity for participants to analyze one or a combination of elements essential to the effective operation of a business in the specific occupational area. These elements may include, but are not limited to, financial management, personnel management, merchandise management, marketing issues, security issues, etc. The business situation to be analyzed will be presented as a case study.

Tiana Simpson placed third in the Hotel and Lodging Management event.  The Hotel and Lodging event involves an individual participant analyzing a real-world hotel and lodging situation, developing ideas/solutions to the situation, then role-playing with a professional (judge) with experience in hotel and lodging.

These students now advance to DECA’s International Career Development Conference to be held in Nashville this April.  Their advisor is Selina Deaton.
