High school students place at district Governor’s Cup

Knox Central and Lynn Camp high school students competed for awards at the 49th and 50th district Governor’s Cup competitions.

Lynn Camp (bottom photo) is a member of the 49th district consisting of Corbin, Whitley, and Williamsburg.  Knox Central (top photo) is a member of the 50th district consisting of Clay County and Barbourville.

The following Lynn Camp students placed in their academic events:

Sassie Mitchell, 4th Place, Science
Cristina Powers, 5th Place, Science
Austin Partin, 3rd Place, Arts and Humanities

Lynn Camp also was awarded the Katherine Humes Award for their sportsmanship.  Lynn Camp was host to the 49th district.

Knox Central placed third overall and third in Quick Recall.  Students placed in the following:
