The school based decision making council at Jesse D. Lay Elementary needs your help in setting the criteria used to select the school’s next leader.
This month the council will begin reviewing applications for the position of principal, following the hiring of former principal Jeff Frost at Knox Central High School.
A survey has been created to allow all stakeholders – students, parents, staff, and community – the opportunity to voice their opinion on the desired qualities in the next principal.
To participate in the online survey, please visit https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/layprincipal.
The survey will be open through Monday, August 22. Once the survey closes, the results will be analyzed and shared with the council as they begin developing questions used in the upcoming interviews.
Harrison Davis, former long-time Knox educator, has been serving as interim principal since the vacancy occurred in July. The council expects to name a new principal by the end of this month.
