Four Knox teams advance to state in FIRST LEGO League

It was a Saturday filled with robots created with the most sophisticated LEGOs by some of the most sophisticated minds.   Eleven teams from Knox County competed in the FIRST LEGO League held at East Perry Elementary School in Hazard.  Of the eleven, four Knox teams are among the elite seven from the region to advance to the statewide competition set for February 1st at Northern Kentucky University.

Flat Lick Elementary won first place in the robotics game and third place overall in the League.

Knox County Middle School’s Mind Masters team won the League’s research and project awards.  They placed fourth overall.

Knox County Middle School’s Master Minds team won the League’s research award and placed fifth overall.

Lynn Camp Elementary won the League’s discover award and placed seventh overall.
