Less than a month after his high school graduation, Elijah Brock of Lynn Camp High School has been elected as a state officer for the Future Farmers of America (FFA) student organization.

The official installation took place on Thursday during the fourth session of the state’s annual FFA convention.

Brock is one of 12 FFA officers selected to represent and serve Kentucky’s nearly 16,000 student members.  He will serve as the Kentucky River (region) State Vice President.

In his role as vice president, he will give speeches, attend events, and present workshops during the upcoming year for FFA chapters and at public events.

“Being selected to serve as a state officer alone is a huge honor and accomplishment,” said FFA advisor Dustin Johnson.

“He will also be the first state officer in school history.  Lynn Camp FFA was chartered 40 years ago today.”

Brock’s announcement and installation ceremony are both available for viewing on the state’s FFA YouTube channel.
