Duo advances to state while bringing awareness to domestic violence

FCCLA members at Lynn Camp are sharing awareness of domestic violence with others throughout the state as they advance in the organization’s annual competitive events.

FCCLA winners display certificates from STAR Event

Cheyenne Hopkins and Masyn Mitchell will advance to state competition in STAR events this March having placed first in the junior category of Chapter Service Project Display at the regional competition. The duo’s project is focused on domestic violence.  Regional’s was held on January 27, 2017.

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is an organization for students taking Family and Consumer Sciences courses. Its members develop leadership through community service and design career projects for competitive events through STAR – Students Taking Action for Recognition.
