Seniors plan for final year at KCHS, look ahead to future education

Representatives from Union College had a table decorated and ready to speak with students.

Senior year is a time of excitement and also a time for thinking about what’s next.

Knox Central High School twelveth grade students registered for their final year of high school on July 25-26.   While receiving a copy of their class schedule was a priority for the students, much more awaited them on their visit to school.

Registration for their FAFSA account and pin numbers, speaking with local college representatives and signing up for college visits were all part of the agenda for the registration event.  It was a mix of senior year and years ahead, as students explored opportunities that are open to them upon graduation.

Also during registration students met with guidance counselors and received information about their prior year attendance, discussed graduation requirements, and reviewed the career pathway that students were on.  A parent or guardian was required to attend with their senior in order for information to be released.
