Nominations open for SBDM Parent Election

SBDM Parent Election

Knox Central High School has reached another milestone in the process of exiting priority status by the Department of Education.  The school is regaining its governance authority by establishing a school based decision making council.

To establish parent members on the council, the school seeks nominations and will conduct an election.

Parents who intend to run for SBDM council will need to self-nominate themselves by Thursday, October 12, at 4:30pm in writing at the school office.  A statement of intent form is provided below.

The SBDM election will occur on Friday, October 13, from 12 noon until 6pm.  Votes will be tallied at the close of the election.  The top two (2) vote recipients will be selected to serve on SBDM for the remainder of the 2017-2018 academic year.

Newly elected parent and teacher representatives, and the school principal, will be required to attend a six (6) hour SBDM training provided by the Department of Education.
