Laura Beth Mills joined her brother to be accepted into the elite Gatton Academy this past summer. Only students who have demonstrated an interest in pursuing advanced careers in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics are admitted. Her brother, Abram, spent his junior year on the college campus gaining an unique perspective of college life while still a high school student.
Admission is highly competitive; only 100 students are selected each year from applicants from all over Kentucky. Admission to the Gatton Academy represents the best of the best of students in the state.
