The Knox Central Dance team, with their stunts and moves, impressed judges at the KDCO Regional Competition for the 12th/13th region held at Somerset High School on January 12th.

The squad earned 1st place small pom, 1st place small hip hop, and 1st place small jazz.

“This team amazes me every day,” said coach Brittany Burton.  “From their hard work and dedication to their ability to adapt to change. We’ve overcome so many obstacles this season and still, they have persevered.”

Team members include Cierra Rice, Macy Whitehead, Hana Messer, Sierra Brummett, Justice Woolum, Tyeesha Spencer, Zachary Broughton, Madison Zandrozny, Madison Edwards, and Savannah Brummett.  Coaches are Brittany Burton and Jamie Huff.

“Some people don’t realize dancers start training in April and their season isn’t over til February,” shared Burton.  “This team has worked so hard, and we only expect to get better in the upcoming season.”
