At its June 2025 meeting, the Knox County Board of Education unanimously rated Superintendent Jeremy Ledford exemplary in all seven leadership standards identified by the Kentucky Department of Education.
The Board met in executive session to complete the superintendent’s annual evaluation. Members reviewed supporting materials, including Board meeting minutes, monthly reports, and a year-end summary. After careful consideration, each standard was rated exemplary— the highest rating possible.
These seven standards include:
-
Strategic Leadership
-
Instructional Leadership
-
Cultural Leadership
-
Human Resource Leadership
-
Managerial Leadership
-
Collaborative Leadership
-
Influential Leadership
Before resuming their regular meeting, the Board invited Ledford into the closed session to review their evaluation with him. Once resumed, Board Chairman Kevin Hinkle had announced that no action had been taken, and called for the meeting to resume with a motion to rate the superintendent in his evaluation.
Ledford thanked the Board, noting that it was a pleasure working with them as they, too, are focused on what is best for Knox County’s students.
