A message for Knox County Middle School families

Information from KCPS

Dear Knox County Middle School Families,

Earlier this afternoon, administration and school resource officers (SROs) at Knox County Middle School were made aware of graffiti in one of our restrooms.  An immediate investigation took place and the threat was determined not to be credible.  The school will proceed to investigate internally and take action against the perpetrator.

While not credible, we wanted to make you aware of the situation. Thank you to the students who notified our school administration of the graffiti.  We encourage our students if they see something – say something. Please continue this message and its importance at home with your child.
Making a threat that could create harm within a public school can have serious consequences, including but not limited to terroristic threating, which will be charged by law enforcement.

The safety of our students and employees is our top priority, and we appreciate your continued support of a safe environment for our students and employees.
