Union College partnership is one reason to #loveKYschools

Partnerships with higher education, such as the one between the Knox County Public Schools and Union College, is a reason to show love for public schools this February.

Throughout the state individuals and school districts are heading to social media to show the world that Kentucky loves its schools.  Dubbed, #loveKYschools, stories of partnerships and student success are popping up across the Internet including in Knox County.

Staff from Knox County and Union College took a moment this week to pause for a photo of the loveKYschools logo following conversations about the college’s educational studies unit.

School systems along with the Kentucky Educational Development Corporation (KEDC), Northern Kentucky Educational Cooperative (NKCES), the Kentucky Association of School Superintendents (KASS), the Kentucky School Boards Association (KSBA), and the Kentucky Association of School Administrators (KASA) are working collaboratively to launch the #loveKYschools campaign.

We are asking staff to join us and partnering agencies to create a culture where accomplishment in our schools is the expectation and is celebrated.  You can get involved in the following ways:

  • Like #loveKYschools on Facebook (www.facebook.com/lovekyschools).
  • Follow #loveKYschools on Twitter (@loveKYschools).
  • Share news with our district communications office!  (www.knoxkyschools.com/share)  We will use the hashtag #loveKYschools to make sure that our Knox County students get the recognition earned!   Together, we can tell the Knox County story to the world.
