The Knox County Schools’ Transportation Department was honored this month by the Kentucky Department of Education with the “Most Improved Bus Garage” award.
Jeff Ketcham, director of Transportation, and staff members were recognized for the award at the July 24th Board of Education meeting. Board member Carla Jordan and Assistant Superintendent Kim Merida presented those in attendance with a banner to display at the garage.
Roy Prince, with the Division of District Support, stated the the Knox County team was recipient of the award due to their efficiency and hard work to improve pupil transportation in Knox County.
From better managing bus routes to providing driver training and support, the Transportation Department continues to make the ride to and from school a smoother one for Knox County students.
