Lynn Camp’s third grade class was filled with Pilgrims and Indians the week prior to Thanksgiving as students learned more about the holiday.
Teacher Mrs. Lisa Broughton introduced the lesson by teaching students about the Pilgrims, Indians and how Thanksgiving came to be. Afterwards, students gather in a circle, held hands, and told their classmates things that they were thankful for.
The culminating activity for the lesson was when students had their own Thanksgiving feast.
“The Pilgrims and Indians sat down together, had a wonderful feast and had so much to be thankful for”, said Broughton.
