Science Olympiad challenges students at regional competition

Knox County students proved their knowledge of science, technology, engineering and mathematics to earn them a spot at the State Science Olympiad competition this spring.

Held during the month of March, middle school (grades 6-9) and high school (grades 9-12) divisions competed at regional competitions against other Olympiad teams throughout region.   Much like athletic meets, Science Olympiad competitions are fast paced and consist of multiple events to cover a wide variety of STEM content.

At the high school level, the group from Knox Central won first place overall out of eleven teams.
