Raygen Golden, first grade student of Helen Moore and Renee Brooks at Lay Elementary, was in the spotlight at the November 23rd Board of Education meeting. Raygen was honored as the latest “Spotlight Reader” in the school district.
Raygen read from the book “The Scrubbing Machine.” She was introduced by Renee Brooks, her Reading Recovery teacher at Lay. She is the daughter of Tony and Leisa Golden.
