Students from Knox County’s high school choral programs joined other students from across the region at the 54th Annual Choral Festival for High School Singers held on the campus of Morehead State University November 11-12, 2013.
The MSU choirs presented a special concert on the first night of the festival for the students and the high school festival choirs presented their concert on the second evening. While attending the festival, students learned from two distinguished clinicians, Randall Stroope and Cheryl West. The festival music encompassed a wide variety of musical styles.
Students participating from Lynn Camp Schools were Blaze Herren, Tracy Bargo, Keisha Edwards, Sasha Diaz, Joanna Helton and Trenton Osborn. Students from Knox Central were Dana Hammons, Lauren Wagers, Cheyenne Bowling, Kayla Tipper, Hannah Corey, ReBecca Taylor, Shelby Baker, Brittany Elliott, Dustin Massengill, Aaron Nottingham, Tristan Hinkle, lee Dales, Isaac Brooks, and Tyler Miles.
Knox County’s high school choirs are under the direction of Lee Edward Campbell at Knox Central and Chessa Fernandez at Lynn Camp.
