Knox cheerleaders win at regional competition

Cheerleaders from Knox County Middle and Knox Central competed and placed in the KHSAA regional cheerleading competition held on November 9.

 

The annual competition was held at Barbourville High School where the best cheerleading teams throughout the region competed for honors.   Awards were presented in the small, medium, large, and super large varsity divisions.

Knox County Middle School placed second in the middle school division.   North Laurel placed first.

Knox Central placed first in the large varsity high school division.

Knox Central’s team now advances to the KHSAA state cheerleading competition to be held on December 14 in Lexington.
