KC Dance Team wins first in “Just Keep Dreaming” dance competition

The Knox Central High School Dance Team took first place honors in the varsity hip hop division at the “Just Keep Dreaming” dance competition at Bourbon County High School on Saturday, January 28.

This was the team’s first competition. The dance team is now qualified to participate in the Heartland National Dance Championship in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 24.

The 11-member team is coached by Sabrina Henson.

Members include Summer Lambert, Paige Cobb, Marena King, Briana Mollett, Samara Callihan, Marissa Smith, Beth Mills, Megan Sanders, Brittany Burton, Madison Brown and Catrina Mills.

The dance team competed against several other high schools from Kentucky.

Team member Beth Mills received the Just Keep Dreaming Scholarship for $250 towards the college of her choice.

Henson said, “I’m so proud of all my dancers for their hard work and dedication, it really paid off!”
