Knox Central’s chapter of Future Business Leaders of America is headed to national competition after receiving top honors at the state FBLA conference held April 23-25.
Eight students placed in seven different competitive events at the conference held at the Galt House in Louisville. Winners from Knox Central are:
- Samantha Salyer, 1st place, Computer Applications
- Beth Mills and Brianna Ledford Ledford, 1st place, Desktop Publishing
- Kelsey Engle, 1st place, Word Processing I
- Lee Frazier, 2nd place, Introduction to Technology Concepts
- Austin Doolin, 2nd place, Technology Concepts
- Valerie Chavies, 4th place, Word Processing II
- Rashelle Hubbard, 4th place, Business Procedures
The students qualified to compete at the statewide conference after placing at the regional competition held in March.
Students will now represent Knox Central and Kentucky at the National Leadership Conference to be held in San Antonio, TX this June. Their advisors are Virgena Rhodes and Frank Shelton.
