Knox County’s Odyssey of the Mind teams need your financial support as they advance to the World Finals in Iowa this May.
Five teams from Knox consisting of three from Knox Central, one from Central Elementary, and one from Girdler Elementary, are conducting fundraisers to raise money needed to support their travel and other related expenses. The teams qualified to compete at the World Finals after winning at the State Odyssey competition on March 29.
The district’s Odyssey of the Mind teams will be hosting a community yard sale on Saturday, April 26th from 9am to 2pm. The yard sale will be conducted in the parking lot at Knox Central. Everyone is invited to setup and sell, the cost for registration/spot is $10. To register or for more information please call Knox Central at (606)546-9253. A car wash will be held in conjunction with the Yard Sale on Saturday.
Central Elementary’s Odyssey of the Mind team is selling ‘Panther’ t-shirts to raise money for their expenses. T-shirts are prepaid and prices range from $20 to $25 depending on style. For more information and to place an order call Central Elementary at (606)546-3496.
“Let Your Creativity Shine” 5K Run/Walk will be held at Knox Central on May 10, 2014. Awards will be presented to the overall male and female and top male and female in each age category. Registration for the event is $25 before May 1 and $30 on or after May 2nd. The student rate is $15. All pre-registered runners will receive a t-shirt and glow stick.
