Lynn Camp science students have been digging into photosynthesis and cellular respiration.
The PCC Honors Biology class spent the past six weeks on these units of study starting with photosynthesis. Their project started with growing herbs and tomato plans in their Grow Lab, which was funded by a PRIDE grant.
At the end of their unit on cellular respiration, students transplanted the plants into pots and will be ready to start using them soon.
“Students have enjoyed the hands on experience and application of topics,” said Chasity Jeffrey, science teacher. “They have learned that factors that affect the rate of photosynthesis and seeing plants grow as photosynthesis and cellular respiration occurs.”
