Leadership was the focus of much of the communications agenda during the October 22nd meeting of the Knox County Board of Education.
Board members signed a resolution adopting the District’s new mission and vision statements which focus on preparing students to be leaders. Following the resolution, Panther Battalion JROTC cadet Lawrence Davis was awarded the Board’s first Rising Leader award. Teachers were recognized during the meeting by Union College for being leaders in the education profession after being nominated and selected for the Excellence in Education awards.
