Lynn Camp hosted its 10th annual Veterans Day program on Thursday, November 11th. Debra Stewart, teacher at Lynn Camp High School, has been the coordinator of the program since it began. Each year, Mrs. Stewart ensures that the Veterans Day program is full of entertainment and that it gives the proper gratitude and respect to the Veterans who have so bravely served our country.

The annual event includes inviting local veteran’s to participate in the program.  This year’s program also featured a few changes in the agenda. With the help of Lynn Camp’s technological co-op student, Cody Lawson, the program was able to feature a slide show that paid respect to the local veterans. In addition, Followers of the Way, a local bluegrass gospel quartet, provided live musical entertainment for the students, teachers, and veterans who attended. Senator Robert Stivers was the key speaker of the Veterans Day program.  Senator Stivers spoke on the importance of citizen’s giving thanks to the veterans for their service.  He emphasized the importance of Veterans Day.

It is Lynn Camp’s goal of the Veteran’s Day program to properly thank and show tribute to the veterans who so graciously fought for the freedom of our great country. Lynn Camp would like to thank all veterans and wish them all a Happy Veterans Day.
