Two Knox County teams were among students from across the Commonwealth competing on Saturday in the FIRST Lego Robotics event held at Northern Kentucky University.
Central Elementary placed ninth in the Lego game competition with fellow Knox County school Jesse D. Lay Elementary following at twelfth place.
“We are super excited,” shared gifted and talented coordinator Jennifer Carey. She explained that the Knox County teams faced middle school and home school associations from across Kentucky.
“Our students prove every day that we can compete and accomplish success,” added Carey.
These teams earned their appearance at the state event after winning in the Regional FIRST Lego robotics competition sponsored by the Challenger Center in December.
