The Knox County Board of Education will conduct a special called meeting on Monday, March 12, 2018, 6:30pm, at the Board of Education Annex building (199 Daniel Boone Drive, Barbourville). The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and/or take action on policies and procedures relating to the use of metal detectors in schools. Recent donations and purchase of metal detectors has prompted the Board to call a special meeting in order to set policy regarding their use. A copy of the agenda is attached and follows.
