Four Knox Central High School students were recognized during the communications presentations held before the Knox County Board of Education’s regular meeting on August 27, 2026.
Quentin Jace Baker, Gregory Jace Foley, Sophia Grace Gambrell, and Harrison Frederick Trosper participated in the Governor’s Scholars Program this past summer.
The Governor’s Scholars Program, commonly known as GSP, is a five-week summer program for outstanding Kentucky students entering their senior year. The program is hosted on three college campuses across the state.
During GSP, students study a selected focus area and participate in lectures, discussions, and hands-on learning experiences. They also build relationships with other high school students from across Kentucky.
Each of the four Knox Central students spoke to the Board about their experience and shared how the program helped them learn, grow, and prepare for the future.
