Knox Central Boy’s Soccer took on the Middlesboro Yellow Jackets on Thursday, August 31, 2017. The Panthers defeated the Yellow Jackets 7-0 bringing their season record to 2-2.
Knox Central led 2-0 at halftime then added 5 more goals in the second half. The players that scored were Tristen Johnson with 1 goal, Markelle Turner with 3, Austin Smith with 2 and Jason McNeil with 1.
Head Coach Michael Poff stated “This was a good district win for us. It’s always nice to pick up a district win.” He went on to say “Our young men played hard the entire game and that’s what we will need going forward.”
