Knox Central High School has announced a change to the previously set prom date for spring 2020.

To avoid conflicts with dates set by the Kentucky High School Athletics Association, there has been a need to change the date for the high school prom.

The new date is Saturday, May 2, 2020.  The previously set date was April 25, 2019.

“We want all students to enjoy the full prom experience, from early afternoon photo sessions to an evening filled with friends and fun.  Changing the date now will allow students to avoid conflicting athletic events that may impact their attendance,” said Jeff Frost, principal.

Frost also stated that the community often looks at high school dates, such as prom, to set other events each spring.  The advance notice prior to the end of the calendar year will allow for those plans to begin.
