Superintendent screening committee set to meet on Tuesday

Knox County Public Schools’ superintendent screening committee will conduct their next meeting on Tuesday, May 4, 6:15 pm ET, at the Board of Education Annex building (199 Daniel Boone Drive).  By statute (KRS 160.352), the hiring process for a Kentucky public schools superintendent requires districts to create a Screening Committee with a specific number of members, each representing a specifically designated category of stakeholders.

II. Discuss and/or Accept minutes from April 26, 2021 meeting

III. Discuss and/or Take Action to enter executive session pursuant to KRS 61.810(1)(f):  Discussions which may lead to appointment of employee

IV. Motion to return to open session

V.  Motion to adjourn

This meeting will be limited to a maximum of ten (10) people, including committee members and staff, pursuant to the Coronavirus Guidelines of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control; the 03/12/2020 Meeting Protocols for Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) issued by the Kentucky Finance and Administration Cabinet, KRS 61.810(1)(k), KRS 61.826, OAG 20-05 and SB 150.  Also, this meeting will be live-streamed and available on this page beginning at 6:15 pm.
